Consultative Meeting on Enhancing Livestock Development, Disease Surveillance and Coordination for East-central Region

A two-days consultative meeting was carried out on 28th – 29th January 2021 in RLDC involving the staff of RLDC, Zhemgang and DLS, Zhemgang with the main objectives to undertake the following:

  1. Consultative meeting and implementation planning for green forage production and sustainable dairy farming program for Zhemgang Dzongkhag
  2. Consultation and planning for MDV and DPM for Zhemgang Dzongkhag under DPM flagship program
  3. Mid-year review of progress and achievements for RLDC, Zhemgang and DLS, Zhemgang including IWPs of staff under RLDC, Zhemgang for FY 2020-21
  4. EVDP monitoring and evaluation of DVHs/RNRECs/LECs
  5. Advocate the Zhemgang DLS on key outcomes of Annual Livestock Conference held in RKPO Green Resort in Punakha during 7th – 9th December 2020

The consultative meeting and coordination planning for Trongsa and Zhemgang Dzongkhags were previously planned from 21st – 26th December 2020 vide letter no. 2(2)RLDC/ADM/ZG/2020-21/107 dated 16th December 2020. However, the planned activities had to be deferred due to the 2nd phase national COVID-19 lockdown in the country.

The deliberations made, issues discussed and recommendations agreed were shared as the minutes of the two days consultative meeting to DoL and DLS.
