A one day consultative meeting involving RLDC, Zhemgang, DLS, Zhemgang, Gewog Administration, Bardo and Dairy Farmers’ Group in Khomshar was organized on 2nd February 2021 in Gewog RNR hall in Khomshar to deliberate and plan on the implementation of green forage production and sustainable dairy farming program.
The consultation meeting was followed by hands-on training for three days from 3rd February to 5th February 2021 on improved pasture development, fodder conservation and product development techniques, TMR technology, clean and hygienic milk production technology, dairy product diversification technologies for yoghurt, paneer and chugo followed by awareness program on livestock notifiable/zoonotic diseases of regional importance, their prevention & control measures and rapid response and containment measures during disease outbreaks by the livestock owners.
The consultation meeting and training program was attended by 44 dairy farmers’ group members besides the officials from RLDC, DLS and Bardo Gewog Dakchong with fund support from GoI Livestock Project in RLDC, Zhemgang.
